The Maus King – Josef (Fashion Line Grant Phillippe)

User name: MeiselMaus

I made a mask so that Josef could dance in the NachtZirkus production of the Nutcracker. Dark ballet for the coming festive season. Lovely!

    • Thank you. Since moving to the 1:4 side, my troupe has become a bit chaotic, but nothing a spell in Photoshop can’t fix. 😀

  • That’s gorgeous concept. It’s amazing you made the mask by yourself, you have awesome talent.
The mask makes the concept more beautiful.
It’s way of dancing is graceful.
Thank you for sharing with us.

    • Thank you very much. The more I play with this chap, the more I like him. It takes some practice to get the most out of the articulation, as it does with many dolls, but I am getting the hang of it.

The mask was a rushed job (as my perfectionist tendencies would have forced me to start it, get fed up and put it aside for three years, but I wanted to take photos before Hallowe’en), so it is rough and ready, but it does the job. And I finished it and, in my books, that is an achievement!

      • Thank you for showing us various kind of posing and artwork of GRANT PHILLIPPE.
You can keep inspiration for a long time or it could be come to you suddenly.
You did a great job for that.

  • Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures of Josef. What type of pastels do you use and do they rub off from the resin? I also have a Grant Phillipe and wanting to give him a realistic face-up, but I’m very nervous because I’ve never done this before.

    • There are tutorials on how to do faceups on Youtube and also lots of resources in Den of Angels. The good thing about faceups is that, if it doesn’t look any good, you can wipe it down and start again. Enjoy!
